Sapphire Nursing and Rehab in Goshen is under investigation over staffing levels and its living conditions according to the Times Herald-Record. The company recently slashed its staff in half and has only 17 nurses.
Rep. Sean Maloney (D-Cold Spring) said he was disturbed when he heard complaints from family members.
“I’m glad that the State Department of Health is taking this seriously and will do some work on the ground to make sure the older Americans in these facilities are receiving the quality treatment they deserve.”
